Cookie policy
Exactly what Oriolo stores in your browser, and why.
Our approach
Oriolo currently uses no analytics, behavioural advertising, cross-site tracking, or third-party scripts on its pages. Necessary storage secures the service or provides a feature you explicitly request. The automatic recently viewed list is optional and stays off unless you allow it. None of this storage is used to build advertising profiles.
Cookie settings
No choice is saved yet; optional storage remains off.
You can change or withdraw this choice at any time. Withdrawing removes the recently viewed list stored in this browser.
First-party cookies
| Name | Purpose | Category | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| wu_session | Keeps a signed-in account authenticated and protects account access. | Strictly necessary | 30 days |
| wu_compare | Keeps the watch comparison tray selected at the user’s request. | Requested feature | Browser session |
| wu_oauth_state, wu_oauth_next | Secures Google sign-in against request forgery and returns the user to the requested Oriolo page. | Strictly necessary | 10 minutes; deleted after sign-in |
| wu_apple_state, wu_apple_nonce, wu_apple_next | Secures Apple sign-in and returns the user to the requested Oriolo page. | Strictly necessary | 10 minutes; deleted after sign-in |
Local storage and device features
Local storage remains in the browser until the item is removed by the feature or site data is cleared. Oriolo uses these first-party entries:
wu-theme— Remembers an explicit light or dark theme. Removed when the system theme option is selected.wu-recently-viewed— With consent, keeps up to 12 recently viewed watches in this browser so they can be shown on the homepage.oriolo.push.installation— A random installation identifier created only when browser notifications are enabled; it helps manage that device’s subscription.oriolo.cookie-consent.v1— Records whether optional convenience storage was allowed or refused so the choice can be respected.
If you enable notifications, your browser also creates a push subscription and installs Oriolo’s service worker. Oriolo stores the subscription endpoint, encryption keys, device category, installation identifier, browser user-agent, and notification choices. You can disable the subscription from your account; browser or operating-system notification settings provide an additional control.
Services you choose to visit
Google and Apple receive information when you choose their sign-in flow. Stripe receives information when you choose Premium checkout or billing management. Catawiki, Chrono24, and other labelled affiliate destinations receive information only after you follow an external link. Those services control their own cookies and privacy practices; Oriolo does not load their tracking scripts on its pages.
Your controls
You can clear Oriolo cookies and site data through your browser settings. Doing so signs you out and resets local preferences, comparison selections, recently viewed watches, and the saved cookie choice. Blocking necessary storage may prevent those features from working.
Optional storage is off until you allow it. If Oriolo later introduces another optional purpose, this choice will not be stretched to cover it; the notice and consent version will be updated first. See the Privacy notice for how personal data is handled.
